Teaching in I Timothy

I, II Timothy and Titus in the New Testament of the Holy Bible are known as the Pastoral Epistles or letters. Philippians and Ephesians are called the Prison Epistles, because Paul was in prison when he wrote the letters. Paul exhorted and encouraged them to solidify the churches in Ephesus (Timothy) and Crete (Titus). First Timothy and Titus focus on the oversight of church life. This minister believes the three pastoral epistles are needed today to bring Godly order back to the Churches of Jesus Christ! In addition, the Pastoral Epistles abound with principles for Godly leadership and righteous living for God.
The theme of I Timothy is Timothy's organization and oversight of the Asian churches as a faithful minister of God. In I Timothy Iff Paul charged concerning doctrine or teaching; Jesus Christ is "our Savior and the Lord Jesus Christ, our hope." What an encouragement at the outset of Paul's letter. Jesus Christ should be elevated and glorified in all of our churches first: for He is the one and only Savior! "There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved." In addition, in a hopeless world of carnal offerings, Paul's letter underlines Jesus Christ as our hope! Do you have any hope for this world and its' system? Jesus Christ is the only Savior for the whole world of sinners and He is our only hope! Accept Jesus Christ into your heart at this time.
